Car-to-car gunshots fired on Wrightsboro Road, authorities say

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two motorists fired gunshots at each other and one was arrested Thursday afternoon on Wrightsboro Road, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened near the Smart Grocery at 3221 Wrightsboro Road, according to the agency.
Deputies said they learned two people in separate vehicles fired several shots at each other before driving off in separate directions.
While speeding away, one of the subjects’ vehicles crashed into the rear of another vehicle at which time that subject exited his vehicle and fled the scene, according to deputies.
One subject is in custody, according to authorities.
No injuries were reported.
