Home fire rekindles hours later near Gloverville Elementary
GLOVERVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Fire crews battled a fully-involved home fire near Gloverville Elementary School early Monday morning that rekindled hours later, according to authorities.
Aiken County dispatch says the call came in at 5:58 a.m. for a home on fire on the 220 block of Myrtle Street.
There are no injuries reported, and no surrounding buildings are in danger, according to authorities.
Crews were still on the scene at 7:01 a.m., when we arrived to learn more.
As of 7:22 a.m. the flames had been put out but there was still white smoke coming out of the building.

We spoke to a neighbor who told us no one was living in the home, but this isn’t the firs time there’s been a fire in his neighborhood. In fact, there was one a couple of months ago too.
Back in Jan. we covered a house fire just over 1,000 feet on the 220 block of Church Street.
The neighbor also told us the home was completely engulfed at one point early in the morning.
A viewer sent us a video of the fire when it was fully engulfed.
A firefighter told us they also believe the home was abandoned and they will continue to investigate to determine the cause of the fire.
The scene was clear around 7:55 a.m.
But around 9:50 a.m., crews returned to the home after the fire rekindled, dispatch says there a few flames.
This weekend, Aiken Public Safety contained a fire in downtown Aiken, and while there were no injuries, businesses nearby took some damage.
