Family YMCA raises $1.5M for local scholarships

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Family YMCA says it raised more than $1.5 million to help fund local scholarships to put back into the community on Tuesday.
Not only will the funding go towards scholarships, but it will also help programs like A Place to Dream, youth sports, summer camps, mobile food pantries and much more.
The annual campaign celebration was emceed by News 12 Laura Warren.
Those at the event say the impact of the donation will certainly stretch across our community.
The theme of the celebration was video games.
