Smokeshow BBQ wins Augusta’s 4th annual Spring Wing Fest

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - After being delayed a day, the fourth annual Spring Wing Fest and Food Truck Festival took place at SRP Park over the weekend.
There was cornhole and fun activities, but the main event was centered around food trucks. Where cooks battled it out to see who would be named the Augusta wing off champion and win $1,000 prize.
The winning manager from Smokeshow BBQ spoke about taking home the trophy.
Stephanie Lynn, says, “It’s huge. We thank everybody.”
She says it came from a family recipe that covered the wings in a sweet and spicy sauce.
Smokeshow BBQ says they are planning to open a stand alone restaurant soon but their food trucks are around town in the meantime.
