Groundbreaking held for new Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - The Orangeburg County School District held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School Thursday afternoon.
The event took place off Cook Road in Orangeburg at noon Thursday.
The two-story main building and field house building areas are expected to total 294,000 total square feet and eventually serve around 1,600 students. Construction is expected to cost around $125 million.
The working timeline provided by the district shows the expected completion date for the high school is in summer 2026.
