Name released for man found dead near Windsor Spring Road
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen on Thursday released the name of a homeless man who was found dead several days earlier.
Christopher Sellers, 51, was found deceased June 14 in the wooded area just off Windsor Spring Road.
The case is being investigated as a suspicious death.
Authorities say the body was found after they responded to the Interstate 520 eastbound ramp at Windsor Spring Road to investigate a report of a deceased person.
According to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen, the man was pronounced dead at the scene around 5 p.m. June 14.
The death is considered suspicious, according to officials.
The suspicious death came amid a more than two-year outbreak of violent crime that’s claimed more than 150 lives across the CSRA.
