Aiken County man arrested, accused of child sex crimes in 2023
BEECH ISLAND, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A Beech Island man accused of criminal sexual conduct and exploitation with a minor in 2023 has been arrested on Tuesday, according to jail records.
Man arrested after human trafficking victim runs into Grovetown Police Department
After a human trafficking victim franticly entered Grovetown Police Department on Thursday, investigators have arrested a man accused of keeping her for months across the state, according to authorities.
Dayzon Nakarr Padgett, 23, of Beech Island was arrested on Tuesday in connection crimes that happened in Oct. and June of 2023, according to jail records.
Officials say it stems from an investigation that began on July 3.
The victim reported that the sexual assault took place at a friend’s house in Aiken County, according to the report.
Back in Nov. 2023, we reported that the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office was seeking the public’s help in searching for Padgett.
Padgett is charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree, sexual exploitation of a minor first degree, and sexual exploitation of a minor in the the third degree, according to jail records.
