A judge allowed bond Thursday for a Florida sheriff’s deputy who was fired and charged with manslaughter after shooting a U.S. Air Force senior airman at the Black man’s apartment door.

He has been charged with multiple crimes, including malice murder, three counts of felony murder, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with the intent to rape, aggravated battery, tampering with evidence and hindering or obstructing a person from making an emergency telephone call.

The judge overseeing the trial said earlier this month he expects to start in November.
