Finding Solutions: Tri-Development Center helps wrap up to-do list
AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -If you have those last-minute gifts that need to be wrapped, the Tri-Development Center of Aiken County has you covered.
You have until Christmas Eve to come by and see them.
The organization is finding solutions in how they can help you help them provide Christmas to the people they serve.
It’s a tradition that’s been going on for 26 years.

The Operation TDC Christmas store is offering free gift wrapping to those who need it.
In return, this benefits the adults they help.
“At Aiken Tri-Development Center we serve adults who have special needs and disabilities from head and spinal cord injuries to autism to developmental disabilities, so we want to make sure when they wake up they have Christmas like everyone else does,” said Terrnace Jackson, director of safety prevention and volunteers at Aiken TDC.
Finding Solutions: Local group helps encourage, educate future generations
, uplift, encourage and educate girls — that’s the mission of one organization who’s making a difference in future generations.

Donations are accepted and used to provide gifts to 200 adults at the tri-development center.
“When they get that knock at the door and we’re there delivering gifts to put under their tree because without this their trees are bare without us delivering the gifts, so the excitement on their face when Santa Claus comes and the gifts we have makes it all worth it in the end,” said Jackson.
April Adcock is one of the adults at the Tri-Development Center helping wrap gifts.
She says there’s a lot to enjoy about being a part of this group.
“The fun activities and being together,” said Adcock.
Finding Solutions: Radio station aims to help CSRA after Helene
Oasis VIP, located off Deans Bridge Road, has been around for 20 years and is reaching people from near and far through their radio station Oasis 97.3.

The Tri Development Center of Aiken County is a non-profit so community means everything.
“Thank you for your ,” said Tiesha Rouse, assistant at the TDC. “All the organizations that donated to the individuals, the churches thank you so much. The individuals appreciate it so much, if you can see their faces it’s all worth it.”
If you want to get those last-minute gifts wrapped, you can head to the Christmas Store in Aiken located at 251 Laurens Street from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
It is free, however they do accept donations.
