Augusta native stars in new CBS soap ‘Beyond the Gates’
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A local TV star has made his debut on one of our major networks.
Maurice Johnson plays Dr. Ted Richardson on the new CBS daytime series “Beyond the Gates.”
It’s the first daytime soap to feature a primarily Black cast in more than 25 years.
Columbia County planners approve steps for new Olive Garden
The Columbia County Planning Commission approved the next steps to bring a third Olive Garden to the CSRA.
It’s shot right here in Georgia at the Gray Assembly Atlanta Studios.
The series premiered Feb. 24 on WRDW.
As the cast wraps up its 10th episode, he says representation really does matter.
“It is about the younger generation,” he told News 12.
Mediterranean fast casual chain Cava is coming to Evans
Growing fast-casual Mediterranean food chain Cava plans to open a location in the Evans area, the company confirmed.
“I am a product of this area, so the little kids that went to C.T. Walker like I did, or the kids that go to Glen Hills or all of the schools, they’re able to see somebody that came from here.”
