Evans baby boutique offers ‘community for all parents’
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A new baby boutique is now open in Columbia County.
Cuddles and Carriages held its grand opening on Saturday morning.
As the parents of three young kids, Holly and Noah McBride noticed there was something missing in this part of town.
Officials cut the ribbon on new North Augusta Public Safety headquarters
North Augusta public officials have cut the ribbon on a new public safety headquarters.
“Basically when Buy Buy Baby closed, there wasn’t a place where you could go and look at car seats and strollers and nursery sets aside from Walmart and Target,” said Noah and Holly McBride.
They wanted to create a one-stop shop for all parents and Cuddles and Carriages was born.
“What makes us different from what they’re offering obviously aside from the brands is the expertise that we have,” said Noah and Holly McBride. “I think we treat it more like a learning venture and a chance to help our community with first-time parents, experienced parents and hopefully fill some voids.”
The McBride’s handpicked everything in the store based on their own personal experience.
Local Salvation Army seeks donations as need grows
Donations are needed at the Salvation Army of Augusta as they see an increase in families staying at their shelter with tournament week.

“Everything in here we specifically picked out for quality, functionality and for everything that the brands stand for,” said Noah and Holly McBride.
And they’ve partnered with other groups to help educate first-time parents on what they’ll need.
They hope their biggest partner is the community getting on what things parents need for their kids.
As for the toys, that expertise comes in the form of three kids under the age of four.
