AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Breezy and dry conditions this afternoon will bring back a fire risk to the region. Mostly dry week ahead until Sunday.
FIRST ALERT: We have issued a First Alert for Monday, 3/31 for the chance for strong to severe storms. This is 6 days out so as we get closer to time we will have a better idea on the time these storms will arrive, but for now, we are monitoring a severe threat.
Today will be similar to Tuesday with morning lows in the 40s and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s. It will stay breezy today - wind will be out of the northwest between 12-18 mph with higher gusts, and relative humidity will be below 25% in the afternoon, leading to another elevated fire risk day.
Sunny and calmer Thursday through Friday with warm highs near 80 by Friday. Clouds return Saturday, but we should be dry most of the day with highs in the low 80s. Showers will be possible Sunday as our next system moves through the region. Highs will stay warm on Sunday in the low 80s.
