Man, 6 children charged after stealing 200 road signs with plans to sell them, officials say
ANDERSON, S.C. (WHNS/Gray News) – Officials in South Carolina said a 21-year-old man and six children are facing charges after removing more than 200 road signs with plans to sell them.
According to the State Law Enforcement Division, the alleged crimes happened in Anderson County between January 2024 and April 2024.
Officials said 21-year-old Hayden Frommel and six minors planned to sell the signs they removed.
Documents said the road signs that were removed included cross signs, stop signs and various highway signs.
Frommel and the minors were charged with interfering with traffic control signs.
Frommel was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center.
The names and ages of the minors have not been released.
