ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A long line of Atlanta Braves fans stood outside the Threads Clubhouse Store on Wednesday morning.

Each of them was waiting to snag custom baseball caps, designed by Braves centerfielder Michael Harris II.

All season long, Atlanta will release the limited-edition merchandise — called the Collab Collection — inspired by current and former Braves stars.

Destiny Ford drove from Paulding County to be the first one in line at The Battery.

“I’m excited for him to do this and put himself out there to the community,” she said. “I’ve been watching him since he first got called up. He’s amazing, we love him.”

The Collab Collection is only available only at Threads. First opened in 2023, the store offers player-inspired Braves gear along with fashion-forward styles.

This week’s collection includes three custom baseball caps designed by Harris II and his wife Esther.

Fans who purchased items from the new line had the opportunity to meet the Braves player and his wife and snap a picture with the couple.

Logan Palmer was among the many fans who filled their shopping bags with Braves gear inside the team store.

“We got here and saw all these people,” he said. “Amazed how much people come out to Mike and the Atlanta Braves.”

Alyse Spaide is the senior manager of Atlanta Braves Retail. She explained why Harris II and his wife Esther, led off this series as its first collaborators.

“They love their style and their fashion,” Spaide explained. “When we approached them, they jumped all over it.”

“It adds a lot of character to the team,” Palmer said. “When a player and his wife get to come up with their own unique product.”

Palmer also praised the Braves centerfielder for his effort and authenticity.

“Mike is not your typical athlete, he has something special about him,” he concluded. “You can tell by the way he plays, straight from the heart.”

Fans can watch the Braves on Gray by tuning into PeachtreeTV, Atlanta’s CW Network. Fans can also watch games on YouTube TV, over the air on channel 17.1 and on channel 17 on Dish Network and DirecTV and channel 7 on Xfinity and Spectrum.
