Destiny ed the Grand Strand Today team in December 2024. Before coming to Myrtle Beach, she worked at WMBF’s sister station, WCSC in Charleston, where she started as a morning reporter, transitioned to night reporting, and was eventually promoted to day-side reporter. She also gained valuable experience in Columbia and Charlotte. In Charlotte, she interned at Seacrest Studios at Levine Children’s Hospital, hosting an hour-long show that broadcast on the hospital’s radio and television network. In Columbia, she enhanced her reporting skills as an intern at WACH FOX 57, contributing to impactful news coverage. 76o6k

Destiny is a ionate storyteller with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Film and Media from the University of South Carolina. Her love for storytelling began during her acting career, working on projects in California, Atlanta, and Columbia. This experience ignited a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling, whether through journalism or film.

It has always been Destiny’s dream to work in lifestyle and entertainment, blending her ion for storytelling with her love for creativity and connection. This aspiration has guided her career and fuels her excitement for her work on Grand Strand Today.

As an African American and Latina journalist, Destiny is committed to amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities. Her dedication earned her a Southeast Emmy nomination for Breaking News, and she was honored with a scholarship to attend the Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) conference, where she further honed her skills. Before attending USC, she earned an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies.

When she’s not working, Destiny enjoys singing, painting, experimenting with makeup, and embarking on new adventures with family and friends.
